Oasis Bar - Tuesday 13th Feb 2007

On Tuesday night, the Oasis Bar celebrated it's pre Valentines day party, sort of! For some reason the bar was full of single women, who claimed they had husbands or boyfriends, but Stephen said he could tell they didn't! First of these girls up was Tracy Naughton, who flew in from Lecister just to sing for all the girls from Plunketts jail, who say they work in accounts, but didn't look like you would trust them with your money! She belted out Simply the Best for the girls, and she was very good, a nice way to get the night started. Next up we had Olivia, who was as good as ever, and loved it up with Endless Love and I will Always Love you. We had another Englishman up next, Neil, from Bolton (sounded like Peter Kay!) who sang Keane and everything changes. Tina joined us again, and did the 90's classic from Everything but the Girl, Missing, which went down well with the Santry girls who just wanted to dance! The next two songs were for all the lovers in the house, although they were hard to spot, but having said that, Pat and Dave looked very cosy! Dec gave us Tears in Heaven and Dave Crowe sang the Manilow classic Mandy. The constant cackiling from the front table for Mark Smith eventually wore us down, so he joined us, and livened things up with Don McLeans American Pie, and then to wrap things up, there really was only one option, but Mags wouldn't sing, so Mick Lynch finished things off with one of my all time favourites, Radio Ga Ga, and then that was that for another week and all went into Tamango for a few late drinks and a dance with Jim Kenny, he was wrecked by the end of it! See you all next Tuesday, Oasis Bar 9pm, and thanks for reading!
